An rx8 can be boosted reliably

do not use coolant addetives like purple ice. they usally contain 2-ethylhexanoate (most coolants contain 2-eha btw) it is highly debated wheter or not 2-eha eats away at the seals in a rx8. But to be on the safe side you should use a coolant without 2-eha. Such as the mazda fl22 (not fl22 complaint. but specificlly the mazda branded fl22)

What made you change them?

Why would you get rid of the 50/50 weigh distribution and ruin the handling the only engine that should be in rx chassis is a rotary

Regarding the water temperature and the oil temperature and the music and the diagnostics and anything regarding sensors. I have installed Chinese Android head unit and with the help of OBD2 wirelessly I can monitor my car and troubleshoot on the same time I have music videos RUclips and etc

I am just learning in my Gray Rx-8 i will keep mine and probably still drive it 5 to 10 years later i am in. Love with my 192 model and will be insured next month on a pearners license with a friend helping me to drive it whilst i use my instructors car also until my test soon

Now I want the more rare vehicles. I just sold a Mitsubishi Montero Sport that I had for years. One of the reasons I love the RX8 so much. I don’t want the “dime a dozen” vehicle.

Truth is RX8 is a car that will make you a better driver and there is no one to doubt this. I bought mine 18 years ago (2006 model) brand new, no modifications, no special treatment, no premix, no track days - the car today has 200.000 km with 1st engine and 6,5 compression on both rotors. I don't drive it often because I have another car and 2 motorcycles but today I'm going to drive it thanks to this video :) Thank you for all the contribution of information you provided all these years, cheers from Athens Greece!

Thanks for your guide. My radio was on version 10.01. So I bought a radio unit with firmware 9.64 and used your guide. That was six months ago and it still works like a charm.

You're correct in the logical sense of things. But, from my experience parting from my 1st coolest rwd car and then taking the rx8 on, I had a sense of emptiness inside myself that i really felt that I wasn't being true to myself and that I at first let go of my younger self's dream and it broke my heart more than it broke my pocket. And so I hope you don't feel the same regret I did and hope you replace that beast with another RWD Jap sports coupe! THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTENT SPANNING MANY YEARS! "And take it out"!!! Hahaha

never sold the project car, but always sold the daily whenever the daily failed which funny enough the daily failed a lot more the the projects…

I've sold my RX-8 too, it was and still is the best car I have ever owned and I'd like to own another one (possibly a cheaper LP or an engine swapped one). My biggest reason was fuel consumption - it was my only car, I didn't mind going to the store in it, or doing little trips, but for example me driving to my family would cost me something around $150, which is madness (in my current car - Cooper S it's less than half that with the same performance). I do miss it, I loved how it drives, how comfortable it is and how practical it is, but I couldn't keep it, as sometimes I wanted to go for a trip with my gf and then I'd not want to go, cause the trip would cost me like $300 in fuel alone. Getting another car would totaly stop me from driving the RX8, as my shopping or longer trips would be done in the new car, I'd have to make a ride just to ride in the RX8. Plus owning 2 cars would have additional costs of ownership, so unfortunately the RX8 had to go. If you want a fun car to just go out for a little fun drive - get a motorcycle, even a small one will give you more emotions. For a daily I'd consider an engine swapped RX8. Maybe I'd get a low power one, just as a second car, in a worse shape for little cash, literally a beater RX8, just to go out for fun of it. It's the best car ever, but it's completely pointless for me. I understand the decision here. Take care!

That's how I sold my RX8 as well. When I realized I drove it 5 times in two years and things started breaking down from sitting. I thought I will drive it forever but my life changed and so did I. Not that I don't like it, it's just that a lot of other stuff has priority over it now. Well, it was great while it lasted. Same goes for your RX8 content.

15 years on, hasn't driven for 13 years, has no engine in it or even... anything, but still on my mums driveway. The RX7. 8 years on, hasn't been driven for 4, and gathers dust in my brothers garage. The RX8. And I get it, I totally get it. I feel what you did there, but I can't. Anybody got a number for a good therapist? I think I need to talk to someone.
